Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews says a “71 year-old man has been found deceased in the backyard of his property in Rochester” amid heavy flooding.
“It is my sad duty to confirm that a 71-year-old man has been found deceased in the backyard of his property in Rochester,” Mr Andrews said on Saturday afternoon.
“We of course send our deepest sympathies to his families and friends. Rochester is a proud local community – a very tight, local community. And they’ll all be … saddened to hear.
“We’ll stand with the families and all families affected by this.”
