Labor funding review delays space project

Australia’s space industry is at a standstill as the federal government reviews a $1.2 billion satellite program.

The Labor government’s review of the National Space Mission for Earth Observation is causing delays to vital work, which was cleared by the Coalition in the March budget.

It is believed that a 12-month delay could make Australia lag behind in the highly competitive global space market.
