Julie Bishop turns heads in a glamourous $2,8000 gown at David Jones black tie event in Melbourne

Julie Bishop has flexed her fashion prowess as she stepped out in a stunning all-black ensemble for a David Jones event in Melbourne.
The former foreign minister turned heads in $2,800 Toni Maticevski gown at the reimagined David Jones Bourke Street flagship store on Wednesday night.
Ms Bishop paired the look with an elegant $625 black crepe jacquette made by Australian fashion designer Bianca Spender.
Adding a touch of glamour, Ms Bishop complimented the look with a sparkling handbag and a pair of statement drop earrings.

The 66-year-old, who recently chopped her blonde locks, wore her hair slicked back for the black tie event.
Ms Bishop was seen laughing and smiling as she posed for the camera, showing off her toned arms and black stilettos.
Ms Bishop joined the who’s who of fashion on Wednesday night for the celebratory event at the David Jones Bourke Street store in Melbourne.
The flagship store underwent a $50 million six-floor redesign to lure shoppers back to the CBD after crushing COVID-19 lockdowns.
The multi-million dollar revamp includes a Tempus Two bar and concessions for luxury brands Dior, Gucci and Louis Vuitton.
The event marked the completion of the latest phase of the re-design which began in 2021.
The first two phases introduced a luxury womenswear and accessories floor, and a consolidated menswear department after the menswear store on Bourke Street sold for $121 million last year.
