Australia facing ‘death of manufacturing’

Shadow Home Affairs Minister Karen Andrews says the Albanese government is “ruling out” ways energy prices can be reduced after “shutting off” nuclear energy discussions.
She said when looking at the costs of manufacturing, the input costs of energy “have always been a significant factor”.
“They’re going to have to come to terms with that very quickly, otherwise it will be the death of manufacturing in Australia,” she told Sky News Australia.
